How does a monthly donation help end hygiene poverty?

Consistent monthly support enables us to plan, prepare, and distribute hygiene products and linens all year long to those who need them most. Reliable funding reduces shortages, strengthens partnerships with Community Facilities, and ensures fewer requests go unanswered.

Distribution & Unmet Need

In 2025, the impact of our community was measurable:

  • 1.3+ million hygiene products and linens distributed

  • 300,000+ requested items remained unfulfilled

  • The unmet request rate decreased from 27% in 2024 to 19% in 2025

This 8-point reduction represents significant progress — but nearly one in five requests still goes unmet.

The Fresh Start community exists to close that remaining gap, steadily and predictably, month after month.

What Your Monthly Gift Provides

$25/month

Provide monthly family-sized hygiene products, oral care, and period products for a low-income family of four.

Families facing financial hardship often choose between rent, food, and personal care. Your support removes that impossible trade-off.

$40/month

Provide a complete hygiene package, including incontinence pads and fresh linens, for a senior living on a fixed income.

For seniors, hygiene products protect health and signal that they are not forgotten.

$100/month

Provide essential hygiene products and fresh linens for an entire shelter.

For individuals rebuilding their lives, these items offer comfort, stability, and renewed hope.

Family Service Worker |Burnside George Community Association

“Access to hygiene products has become an important aspect of the support that Burnside Gorge Community Association provides to clients, families, and community members.

A young family who had lost everything shared that receiving soap, shampoo, toothbrushes and toothpaste gave them a sense of hope and dignity during a very difficult time.

Similarly, a person experiencing homelessness told us that after receiving a hygiene kit with soap and deodorant, they finally felt human again.”
