Rags

We transform damaged flannel sheets and towels into useful rags. Sold to local plumbers, mechanics or any organization or individuals that want to replace paper towels with a more sustainable option. Our volunteers craft them with care, often packaging them in unusable pillowcases, to reduce plastic use.

It’s a Concrete Idea

David Chalupiak, our innovative volunteer, discovered that the plastic used in our hygiene bottles is similar to that used in 3D printing.  Partnering with Setu Technologies Inc., we will turn them into tiny filaments to be embedded in concrete, enhancing strength and sustainability in infrastructure.  This ingenious solution to reuse these bottles introduces another exciting avenue for recycling within our organization, diverting thousands of plastic bottles from the landfill and the oceans.

Nominated as a finalist for the prestigious Ecostarts Awards.
