Our Caring Hotel Partners Program provides a simple, high-impact solution that transforms surplus hotel items into hygiene products and essential supplies for vulnerable communities.
Since 2015, the program has grown from 2,000 hotel rooms in Victoria to nearly 9,000 rooms across British Columbia and Alberta, creating measurable environmental and community impact.
Hotels face growing expectations from guests, brands, and corporate leadership to demonstrate measurable environmental and social responsibility.
The Caring Hotel Partners Program helps hotels:
• Reduce landfill waste
• Simplify responsible waste management
• Support sustainability certifications
• Advance ESG commitments
• Engage staff in meaningful sustainability initiatives
• Strengthen community impact
Participation transforms everyday operational surplus into tangible environmental and social benefits. The program empowers hospitality teams to become active participants in sustainable solutions that benefit both people and the planet.
Soap for Hope Canada is also a recognized vendor with Green Key Global, supporting hotels working toward sustainability certification and responsible operational practices.
Our program is designed to integrate easily into hotel housekeeping operations. Housekeeping teams simply collect gently used soap, hygine products, retired linens, and lost & found items, making participation straightforward and requiring minimal changes to existing workflows.
We Collect
We collect gently used hygiene products, linens, and lost & found from hotels, preventing them from ending up in the landfill.
We Process
In our warehouse, these items are sorted, squeezed, filled, washed, or folded, extending their usable life.
We Deliver
We distribute these repurposed items to Community Facilities, bringing hope and dignity to those in need.
Our program safely repurposes materials commonly discarded in hotel operations.
